Kralik Currency with the Manhattan Express

Born into a family of artists, Juro Kralik’s journey into the art world was almost inevitable. He was exposed to a wide array of artistic techniques and inspirations from any early age, leading him to his current fame and talent as a world-renowned, specialized contemporary artist. Juro Kralik’s art can be best described as a blend of realism and surrealism, where the ordinary is transformed into something extraordinary. With meticulous attention to detail and a keen sense of composition, Kralik creates mesmerizing and thought provoking artworks that captivate the senses. 

Kralik’s subjects often encompass a wide range of themes, from portraits and landscapes to dreamlike scenarios and fantastical creatures. He blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy, leaving room for interpretation and personal reflection.

He has gained recognition for his exceptional talent in creating ‘currency’ pieces. Each piece is made up of thousands of coins that are engraved, designed and signed by himself, coming together to display a face, symbol, or color scheme. His work is exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums around the world, and is on view at DTR Modern in SoHo and in Boston.
