DTR Modern Galleries celebrates street artist Bisco Smith with his first solo exhibition at the New York gallery

DTR Modern Galleries in Soho is eager to welcome the now international street artist, Bisco Smith, to the gallery for the first time for a solo exhibition on October 24th. Bisco is an American contemporary urban artist whose work is characterized as a blend of graffiti deconstruction, abstract gesturalism, action painting, and style writing. His technique involves energetic, expressive brushstrokes that reflect the flow of music and translates the consciousness of the moment into painted lyrics and abstract black and white works of art.

After having worked with Bisco for several years as one of the gallery’s first contemporary street artists, we are thrilled to be celebrating his work and his positive progression through the art world with a solo show in our New York gallery. His style and technique has grown through time, with use of new material, bright and metallic colors, and canvases of all sizes. We love the dimension that his work brings to each of our gallery walls and can’t wait to debut a brand new collection of paintings in Soho!
